My innovative program of research is distinguished by the successful marrying of the disciplines of rehabilitation science and law. It comprises four key streams:
- Mental Health, Law, Criminal Courts
- Rehabilitation and Culture
- Disability, Law and Policy
- Health Systems, Health Law and Policy
The program is designed to offer scope and breadth for innovative and translational research in Canada and elsewhere to improve health and legal system responses to people with mental health conditions and disabilities. It maximizes opportunities for engagement in collaborative and innovative research projects with domestic and international partners with tangible results for the betterment of the health of Albertans, Indigenous peoples, other Canadians and the global community.
